About the role
As a Dispatch Coordinator, you are the link between our carriers and the road. You assign loads, keep drivers on schedule and make sure every pickup and delivery happens on time. You thrive on a busy board and enjoy building strong working relationships with drivers.
What you’ll do
- Assign loads to carriers and drivers based on location, equipment and timing
- Monitor active loads and respond to issues on the road in real time
- Communicate pickup and delivery windows with drivers, shippers and receivers
- Check carrier credentials, insurance and equipment before dispatch
- Update load status and documents so the team always has current information
- Help plan routes for oversized, high value and multi unit moves
What you’ll bring
- Experience in dispatch, trucking or transportation operations
- Working knowledge of load boards and dispatch software
- Quick decision making and a steady temperament
- Strong attention to detail with schedules and paperwork
- Able to work in our Medford office
